Whittier Life Center was founded and has been giving loving service for 38 years. It began as a hotline (telephone and referral service for girls who found themselves with an unwanted pregnancy), which developed into our present Center. We are a 501C3 non-profit organization offering free self pregnancy tests, lay counseling, encouragement, guidance, education in abstinence, and support (diapers, baby clothes, cribs, and other pre/post natal necessities) to pregnant women. We strive to give each mother-to-be the strength to make an informed decision-one that she and her baby can live with for the rest of their lives.
Our Mission
As a part of International Life Services we are dedicated to promoting the sanctity of life from the moment of conception, to its natural end, and promulgating the high moral ethic in the Judeo -Christian tradition.
We believe: 1. God is the author of Life and God alone may termination life. 2. Promotions of the sanctity and respect for human life include protecting the unborn, abused, aged, handicapped, suffering, dying and needy members of society. 3/ Alternatives to abortion are of paramount importance. 4. The family is held in high esteem as the cornerstone of society. 5. Premarital chastity is seen as a necessity for moral, spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being. 6. We support the use of natural family planning as opposed to artifiical contraception.
